I was a bit “out of focus” since the night before at the show’s opening– we all had a lot of fun and it went late. But as soon as the two of us sat down, his warmth, vast knowledge of art and history, and little impossible anecdotes that surprise you (like when he said that he lived in the stables and that’s where his palate is inspired from), put me at ease. I knew I was going to hear many stories and theories and I knew I’d want to remember most.
I guess he also felt at ease because he recited an old Persian saying to me: “When the madman sees another, he likes it.” Indeed.
