POETRY ARTICLES & ESSAYS PERSIAN

Today I’m writing with my left right hand

and the tooth has fallen out
don’t chew on it so much
you’re bleeding from your mouth
just wear it around your neck

Today I’m running with my ears
with no tears wetting my lips
holding a glass full of eyes
succulent letters streaming down
did you hear me break the ice?

Today I’m mismatched and disfigured
blinded for a short moment and then refigured
a saxophone player finds my window
he never let’s go, I keeping saying no
she keeps saying no, he keeps letting go

Today is ripe, like hazy early summer
like silence:
irresistible gesture of a cigarette anticipating the end
resting on the ashtray
Today I make jewellery with his bones
such clean, crispy utensils
and we roam like feathers on fire
like melodic applause of an electrified audience
like sinister eyes hiding behind the sun-
glasses-
eyes-
did you hear me break the ice?
